Need to talk to someone?

Clients come and see me when they need to talk through their feelings so they can find clarity and perspective.  I am a person-centred and humanistic counsellor who works with individuals in a warm, empathic and non-judgmental way.

About Me

I am a qualified and registered BACP counsellor. Aside from my private practice, I also work as a bereavement counsellor at St Joseph's Hospice in East London where I see the family and friends of patients from the hospice and the wider community.

I started my counselling work as a telephone helpline volunteer at Childline in 2007 where I was inspired to train as a therapeutic counsellor and went on to train at City Lit in Covent Garden, qualifying in 2014.  During my training I spent two years at the Royal London Hospital's bereavement service

Underlying my training and work is a commitment to diversity and inclusion and I encourage an environment where my clients can be themselves.

Issues that I can help with:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement
  • Loss
  • Panic attacks
  • Low self esteem
  • Developing a better understanding of yourself
  • Developing coping strategies
  • Sexual, physical & emotional abuse
  • Health related issues
  • Relationship issues with your partner, family, friends and colleagues
  • Lesbian and gay issues
  • Mental health issues

My Approach

I trained as a person-centred therapist.  This means I focus on an individual's self worth and values. I believe being valued as a person, without being judged, enables a person the space they need to explore what is going on for them emotionally. The quality of the therapeutic relationship is at the core of my work and I believe this develops as a result of the value I hold for each person and their own experiences and views.
